Folk For Free!
This 10 track sampler from Friends of the Stars contains songs from their various releases, new and old:
Tracks 1, 2 & 3 are from the band's new LP, "Faiths Meat Kiosk", which is out in 2011.
Tracks 4, 5 & 6 are from "Lighting & Electrical", the band's debut LP from 2007, released on Commercially Inviable Records.
Track 7 is a song from the Lighting & Electrical LP, "Feelin' Blue", remixed by the strange and wonderful Teatowel.
Tracks 8 & 9 are from "Community Punishment Workshop", a collection of the band's earlier works from 2000-2005. This set will also be released at some point in 2011.
Track 10 is a cover of ELO's "Showdown" recorded in collaboration with the producer Binary Havoc, with whom the band have just started recording their 3rd LP.
